Codexa for healthcare
Internal tools and patient-facing prototypes, with clear compliance boundaries.
Codexa is useful for scheduling tools, intake form prototypes, and staff dashboards. It is not a certified platform for storing protected health information.
A typical workflow
A safe way to use Codexa in a clinical setting.
Step 1: Prototype with synthetic data
Build the UI and flows without real patient records.
Step 2: Review the architecture
Read the security page and decide where real data may live.
Step 3: Deploy within your boundary
Push the code to your GitHub and host it in your own environment if required.
Features that matter here
Isolated runtimes
Projects run as an unprivileged user inside Linux namespaces with memory and process limits, never in the web process.
Encrypted environment variables
Secrets are encrypted at rest and injected into previews and deployments without being shown in the browser.
Audit logs and rate limits
Security-relevant actions are logged and public endpoints are rate limited.
GitHub import and push
Import an existing repository, commit from Codexa, and push back when GitHub OAuth is configured.
AI agent that edits real files
Plans, writes and edits project files, runs type-check and build in the sandbox, and repairs errors (bounded to two attempts). Requires an AI provider key configured by your operator.
Team workspaces
Owner, admin, editor and viewer roles with email invitations and activity history.
Example project ideas
Starting prompts you can paste into Codexa. Each one maps to a starter template and produces real, editable code.
- A clinic appointment request form that emails staff (no records stored)
- A staff roster and shift-swap tool
- A patient education site with searchable articles
- A bed-availability dashboard against a synthetic dataset
Limitations to know about
- AI generation requires an Anthropic or OpenAI API key configured by the operator of your Codexa instance; without one the agent shows a "not configured" state.
- Generated code is a starting point. Review it like any other contribution before shipping to customers.
- Starter templates currently cover single-page React apps, static sites, and Node + Express APIs. Other stacks can be imported from GitHub but have not been tuned for the sandbox.
- Codexa makes no regulatory compliance claims (no HIPAA, no DISHA/ABDM certification, no GDPR certification). Do not store protected health information in Codexa projects or databases connected through Codexa unless your own assessment permits it.
