AI-native software development
Build software at the speed of thought.
Describe your idea. Codexa helps you create, refine, test, and deploy real applications.
Free plan, no card required. AI generation requires an API key configured by your operator; the editor, runtime, and deployment work without one.
Why Codexa
An AI builder that behaves like a development platform
Codexa is for people who want the speed of generation without giving up the code, the tooling, or the ability to undo.
Real code, not a canvas
Every project is a set of ordinary files in a Monaco editor. Generate with AI, then edit by hand. Push to GitHub whenever you like.
Validated in a sandbox
Type-check, build, and tests run in an isolated runtime before you see the result. The agent reads errors and repairs them, bounded to two attempts.
Reversible by default
A snapshot is taken before every AI run. Review per-file diffs and restore with one click.
Platform
Everything from the first prompt to the live URL
Each feature below is implemented in the product today. Where something depends on operator configuration, the page says so.
AI app builder
Describe an application and get a real project: files, dependencies, and a running preview.
AI agent
Plans, edits files, runs builds, reads errors, and performs bounded repairs. Build, Ask, and Fix modes.
Code editor
Monaco-based editor with tabs, explorer, search and replace, diagnostics, diff view, and autosave.
Isolated runtimes
Projects run as an unprivileged user in Linux namespaces with memory and process limits.
Live preview
A host-based proxy serves your running app with desktop, tablet, and phone viewports.
Snapshots and diffs
Named checkpoints with per-file diffs and one-click restore. A snapshot precedes every AI run.
Databases
PostgreSQL and Supabase connections with a schema browser and a SQL runner that confirms destructive statements.
GitHub
Sign in, import repositories, commit and push from the workspace when OAuth is configured.
Deployment
Codexa static hosting with history and rollback; Vercel adapter when a token is provided.
Environment variables
Encrypted at rest, masked in the UI, injected into previews and deployments.
Teams
Workspaces with owner, admin, editor, and viewer roles plus email invitations.
INR and USD billing
Razorpay for India, Stripe internationally, monthly or annual. Limits enforced server-side.
How it works
Plan, generate, validate, run, ship
The agent works in bounded, observable steps. You can watch every tool call, cancel a run, and revert the result.
Step 1: Plan
The agent reads your prompt and the project files, then writes a short plan of the files it will create or change.
Step 2: Generate
It edits real files with tools (read, write, rename, delete). Every change is recorded, and a snapshot is taken first.
Step 3: Validate
Type-check, build, and tests run in an isolated sandbox. Errors are read back and repaired, bounded to two attempts.
Step 4: Run
Start a preview in the sandbox with streamed logs, viewport controls, and a share link.
Step 5: Ship
Deploy to Codexa static hosting or Vercel, keep deployment history, and roll back in one click.
Editor and preview
A real editor next to a running preview
Monaco with tabs, file explorer, search and replace, diagnostics, and diff view on one side; your app running in an isolated sandbox on the other.
Backend and data
Not just a frontend generator
PostgreSQL and Supabase
Connect a database, browse the schema, and run SQL from the workspace. Destructive statements ask for confirmation.
Node + Express APIs
Generate REST APIs as a starter template, run them in the sandbox, and read streamed logs.
Encrypted environment variables
Secrets are encrypted at rest, masked in the UI, and injected into previews and deployments.
Deployment
From preview to production without leaving the workspace
Step 1: Build in the sandbox
The same isolated runtime that previews your app produces the production build.
Step 2: Serve at a subdomain
Codexa static hosting publishes the build immediately and keeps every deployment in history.
Step 3: Roll back in one click
Any earlier deployment can be restored. Vercel is available as an adapter when a token is configured.
Step 4: Point your domain
CNAME instructions for custom domains are provided; automatic verification is planned.
Starter templates
React + Vite + TypeScript + Tailwind single-page apps, static HTML/CSS/JS sites, and Node + Express REST APIs. Real files with documented dependencies.

Frequently asked questions
Do I own the code?
Yes. Projects are ordinary files stored in your workspace. You can download them, push them to GitHub, or deploy elsewhere at any time.
Which stacks are supported today?
Starter templates cover React + Vite + TypeScript + Tailwind single-page apps, static HTML/CSS/JS sites, and Node + Express REST APIs. You can import other repositories from GitHub, but the sandbox is tuned for these three.
Does the AI work out of the box?
Only when the operator of the Codexa instance has configured an Anthropic or OpenAI API key. Without one, AI features show a "not configured" state. Everything else (editor, runtime, deployment) works without AI.
What happens when the AI makes a mistake?
A snapshot is taken before every run, each run records its plan, tool calls, and changed files, and you can revert the run with one click. Validation (type-check, build, tests) runs in the sandbox and the agent repairs errors at most twice before handing control back.
Where does my code run?
Never inside the web application. A separate runner service executes projects as an unprivileged user inside Linux namespaces with cgroup memory and process limits and timeouts. Docker and E2B drivers are available for operators who prefer them.
Can my team edit the same file at the same time?
Not yet. Realtime presence shows who is viewing which file, and snapshots make it easy to merge work, but concurrent editing (CRDT) is on the roadmap.
How do you charge?
Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans in INR or USD, monthly or annual. Limits (AI requests and tokens, runtime minutes, deployments, storage, projects, members) are enforced on the server. See pricing.
