AI website builder

Build and deploy responsive websites from a prompt, with full code ownership.

Marketing sites, portfolios, and landing pages generated as static HTML/CSS/JS or React, previewed on every viewport, and hosted on a Codexa subdomain.

A website builder that produces a codebase instead of a locked page editor. Edit the copy in the editor, ask the agent for layout changes, and move the site anywhere because it is just files.

What you get

  • Static or React output

Choose a static HTML/CSS/JS site with no build step, or a React + Vite + Tailwind single-page site.

  • Responsive by default

Preview at desktop, tablet, and phone widths with the viewport controls before publishing.

  • Forms and integrations

Add contact forms backed by a small Express API or your own form service; connect Resend for email when configured.

  • Hosting and custom domains

Publish to a subdomain. Custom domains use CNAME instructions today; automated verification is planned.

  • Version history

Snapshots and deployment history mean you can always go back to last week's homepage.

  • SEO basics in the output

Generated sites include titles, meta descriptions, and semantic headings you can edit.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Describe the site

Pages, audience, tone, and the single action you want visitors to take.

  2. Step 2: Review the draft

Open the preview, read the generated HTML or React, and request changes.

  3. Step 3: Refine

Edit text directly in the editor or ask for section-level changes.

  4. Step 4: Publish

Deploy to a Codexa subdomain and point your domain with a CNAME.

Limitations and requirements

  • AI features require an Anthropic or OpenAI API key configured by the operator of your Codexa instance. When no key is configured the agent shows an explicit "not configured" state instead of pretending to work.
  • There is no drag-and-drop page editor. Changes are made in code or by asking the agent; the visual editor page explains what the preview can and cannot do.
  • Custom domain verification is planned; today you add a CNAME record following the instructions in project settings.
  • Images you upload are stored as project files and count against plan storage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export the site?

Yes. The site is a set of files in your project. Push them to GitHub or download them and host them anywhere.

Does it generate images?

No. Codexa generates code and copy. Bring your own images or use placeholders.
